Check Engine Light or Oil Light Indicator

The check engine or oil light will illuminate on the dash of your car, these can indicate that there is a problem with your engine. The oil light is an indication from the engine, that it’s at risk of damage because there isn’t enough oil. Check the dipstick to see the level of oil. If you see that your car is running low, then it’s time to schedule an oil change to keep your car running smoothly.  

Increased Engine Noises

Oil provides a protective layer between all the engine’s parts. Without enough oil, the engine will tear itself apart, which will cause excessive noise and knocking. Most cars should have their oil changed every 3,000 miles or three months. But if you’re driving a newer vehicle then getting an oil change every 6,000 miles or every six months is recommended.
